In the Rhùne Valley in France, Maison Michel Chapoutier has been producing excellent wines since the beginning of the 19th century, including the Chapierier Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage. It comes from vineyards of the same name, in memory of a war-weary medieval knight who lived like a hermit on a hill granted to him by the Queen of Spain, Ana de Castilla. This wine, exalted by the writer Alexandre Dumas and by Tsar Nicholas II, is considered one of the best wines in France. It is made a hundred percent from Syrah grapes and its color is a deep garnet red with aromas of red fruits such as raspberry and black currant. In the mouth, it is round, elegant, concentrated with a long endnote.

The history and the name of this great Spanish wine, elaborated by the historical wine firm Bodegas Torres, arises from a visit of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I to the winery in 1995 to commemorate its 125th anniversary. It is one of the most select, limited production wines made with the best Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes from the farm Les Arnes in Mediona. It has a red color with mahogany shades, very intense aromas with notes of jam, black fruits and truffle. In the mouth, it is round and complex, emphasizing its notes of dark chocolate, spices and very well structured tannins. It is a persistent and extremely elegant wine.
