Summer FASHION 2013

Summer Spring 2013

Ana B. Remos

From Zac Posen´s elegance to the rebelliousness of Monique Lhuillier and the flood of color of Diane Von Furstenberg.

We finally welcome the season of color and slightly bronzed skin. The time of year when fabrics become light and casual, when dresses come closer to the body, almost like a second skin, an invitation to put on a pair of stilettos or comfy ballet flats. Transparencies, long gowns, white dresses, and prints inspired by nature are some of the trends for the 2013 summer season.

The new looks we´ll be wearing this spring have but few notes of color. Some of the trends dictated by many designers are ethereal dresses in pure white. Other interesting finds on the catwalk are cream tones broken by stripes of slight color blocking, which are rapidly becoming the predominant trend of the season.

1. Rachel Zoe. / 2. Lacoste. / 3. Donna Karan.

Long and vaporous dresses are again a hit with American designers. Delicate constructions that envelop women in fine gauze with colors and prints that reflect the shades and shapes of nature.

1. Tommy Hilfiger. / 2. Carlos Miele.

Combined with handmade, organic fabrics, such as lace, or in asymmetric shapes, black continues to be the most popular color. Essential in any wardrobe is the petite robe noire, the little black dress… a true must have.

1. Michael Kors. / 2. Donna Karan.

The romantic style with fitted silhouettes, highlighting the waist, competes for our attention with looks that are reminiscent of rockers and rebels. Both have earned their own niche in this year’s collections.

1. Diane Von Furstenberg. / 2. Hervé Leger. / 3. J.Mendel.

Not to be ignored, the vivid colors of the collection, a key element for summer in 2013. Dare to wear the latest styles and triumph. More Dolce Vita than ever!
