23 Festive Operngala

The German AIDS Foundation presented the 23 Festive Operngala, a highlight of Berlin’s philanthropic calendar, with the attendance of more than 2,000 guests, which included prominent personalities from the worlds of opera, culture, business, and politics. The elegant event—held at the Berlin German Opera—helped raise awareness about the importance of the fight against AIDS. This year’s honorees were haute couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier from France and telecom entrepreneur Strive Masiyiwa from Zimbabwe.
